Men on a Mission

Are You Building Your
Family on Solid Ground?

It’s a question every Catholic man needs to ask – and answer. God calls you to love your wife, raise your children and provide for your family in good times and bad. To lead with faith in all you do.

Together, we’re empowering Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work and in their community.

Council 14222

The Charter for St. Paul the First Hermit Council No 14222 was granted on the thirty-first day of January 2007, signed by Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson. This Charter is hanging in the Social Hall where Council 14222 meets regularly.

Our principles are Charity, Unity, and Fraternity; the virtue of Charity is the guiding principle of the Knights, a witness to God through good works and service to those in need. There is strength when men work in Unity for a common cause. Fraternity is an abiding fellowship with Christ, brother Knights, and the Church community. To fulfill our mission, volunteer Knights engage in several fundraising activities throughout the year and the proceeds are donated to worthy charities and non-profit community services. The Knights also serve the Church, supporting Parish activities by providing particular skills that the members can offer.

Assembly 3296

Knights of the fourth degree, members of Council 14222 and Council 13300, petitioned Supreme to establish an Assembly following the Laws and Rules of the Fourth Degree. St Mark the Evangelist Assembly No 3296 was established on the eighteenth day of May 2011. This Charter establishing the Assembly is hanging in the Social Hall where the Assembly regularly meets.

The Fourth Degree is an honorary degree also called the Patriotic Degree. Patriotism was added to the three principles in 1900, based on the fact that Knights are loyal to both God and country. Fourth Degree assemblies help Knights to put their faith and love of country into action. There are more than 3,500 Fourth Degree assemblies around the world.

Knights who join the Fourth Degree, which is optional, are referred to as “Sir Knight”. The Patriotic Degree allows Knights to go one step further than the activities of the Council. “Sir Knight” is more than a title — it’s an honor. Most visible is the presence of Fourth Degree Knights at Church services and funerals in their distinctive regalia acting as honor guards. The Fourth Degree supports religious, civic, and charitable causes that strengthens the patriotic spirit of the civic community and educates its members and others in the teachings of Holy Mother Church, and the history of the USA.
